Hi, this is Carie Anne Garmon. I’m creating this GoFundMe for Lisa Griffin (Lisa Lisa.) If you know Lisa, she is the biggest Hightailers fan and a huge live music fan in Houston, always supporting bands we love and is a great friend to everyone she knows! Well our Girl needs our support!! Anything you can contribute will help and will be very appreciated. Lisa also welcomes all of your prayers.

It started before Beryl with a tornado in May. FEMA provided funds for damages incurred but due to continued rain, the work hadn’t begun. Then Tropical Storm, Beryl, hit 7/8. A tree fell on her house and it’s taken in a lot of water. The house has so much damage but the property and landscape are devastated too. FEMA money is coming but these things take a while. Time is of the essence in dealing with water damage, and this is why she needs our help urgently.

Immediate needs:

1) Trees removed in back of house. 3 oaks are about to fall and in standing water. 4 pines and 1 large oak have already fallen. 2 others have snapped. FEMA doesn’t pay for fences or trees but these need to be removed before construction can even begin. There are 6 foot holes out the back door from the pits and mounds of uprooted trees.

2) Moldy drywall inside house needs to be removed asap as mold spreads fast

3) Moving costs (the house is not inhabitable at this time)

4) Secure empty house. It’s already been “broken into” since the storm
