Hello friends!
My name is Ann Marie and I am creating this GoFundMe for my friend Lisa Marshall Colby who has recently been diagnosed with MS.
Here’s her story:
I hail from the Northwest but moved to Arizona for health. Everything started well enough, but life doesn't stay that way often, does it? My health has taken another major hit and BAM, I was just diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Well, yeah, it sucks, but we gotta try to adjust and keep driving for better health, don't we?
I'm already on disability, so most of my medical needs are covered. Grateful! However, there are so many other things that come with MS that make it hard to live with. I've created an Amazon list and placed things on it which can greatly improve both my mental and physical health. Everything from mobility aids to nutritional info and preservation. With my already limited funds, I simply cannot afford to get these things. If you can help in any way, it would be most appreciated. Once something is purchased, it's done, and I won't be getting multiples. If any money is left over, it will be put in my electric bill account. Living in AZ with MS means I have to be able to afford some AC.
Love to you all, and I wish you many blessings.
Lisa

There’s so much need in the world right now and I know it can be overwhelming, especially with everything that’s happening in the US. A lot of people are barely hanging on both financially and mentally, and it’s times like these that we really need to come together as a community and protect each other. What Lisa needs primarily is durable equipment so she can better manage her disease. It’s not going to be an ongoing need, and we can come together and pull her back up so she can keep fighting.
As long as I have known her, she has always been a defender of others, even when she herself has been struggling to maintain a body that is weaker than her spirit.
As a transplant recipient and a type one diabetic myself, I know what a relief it has been when people have been able to step up and step in to carry me over the rough spots.
I humbly ask you today to do this for my friend Lisa.
