Lisa is a kind and thoughtful person who has always put others first, no matter how many hardships she's faced. Her courage, love, and prayers have helped countless people, and her devotion to God is a constant inspiration. Lisa has always loved being out in the world—going to parks, outdoor events, sightseeing trips, lakes, and community gatherings. But after suffering brain damage from an accident years ago, these outings have become much more difficult. She now relies on someone to push her in a standard wheelchair, which limits where she can go and what she can do. Most of her friends and helpers aren't able to transport a heavier scooter, and public transportation in our area is only available for medical appointments, making it nearly impossible for Lisa to enjoy the activities she loves.

I've known Lisa since I was 13, when I started babysitting her daughter Courtney. Over the years, Lisa welcomed me into her family, and I've witnessed her strength through many challenges, including the heartbreaking loss of Courtney to cancer at age 31, and her husband a few years before. Lisa's resilience, generosity, and faith have always inspired me, and I want to help her experience more of life's joys. I've tried to find resources to help her get a portable power wheelchair, but there just aren't many options available. That's why I'm reaching out for support—so we can all come together with a little bit so Lisa can join her friends at community events, enjoy nature, and be part of the world again. Even a small contribution can make a big difference for Lisa and those who care about her.
