In 2015, our brave friend Lisa beat Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma with incredible strength and resilience. She faced the toughest days with courage and never gave up hope despite being a new mom with a 6 month old daughter. Now, almost a decade later, she’s facing another serious health battle — one she never expected.

Recently, Lisa Turner was diagnosed with occipital and trigeminal neuralgia(also known as the suicide disease)a debilitating condition that causes severe, chronic pain. While undergoing testing for this, doctors discovered concerning new nodules in her neck, lungs, thyroid, and enlarged lymph nodes — an unexpected and deeply worrying turn of events.

Due to her rapidly declining health, Lisa was forced to go on medical leave from her job at the end of March 2025. Due to her past history Lisa has been unable to obtain life insurance and is solely relying on EI medical. She’s now without income, facing mounting medical bills, ongoing tests, and uncertain diagnoses — all while trying to remain strong for her family.

This GoFundMe is to help lift some of that heavy burden. Funds raised will go directly toward:

• Medical expenses not covered by OHIP

• Travel and lodging costs for specialist visits and treatment

• Everyday living expenses like groceries, rent, and utilities

• Supporting her family while she focuses on healing
