Stand with Lisa- Help Lisa Fight!

I have been so overwhelmed and touched by your kindness and generosity! Truly THANK YOU from my heart and soul!

And thank you to all of you that have shared this and prayed over me! Those prayers and love are so felt- and even more needed!!!

I know what a lucky girl I am to have so many people thinking of me and including me in their prayers!

These next few weeks are going to be pretty critical to see that the chemo meds are doing their job and killing all the cancer- that is my prayer request for today!

Please pray that my CA125 reflects that with a much lower number in the next 3 weeks! Again, thank you so very much my prayer warriors!!!

We all know someone who is battling or has battled cancer. It sucks. My family’s list is too long, due to a shared inherited BRCA 1 gene mutation. Breast cancer has affected my grandmother, my mother and my younger sister.

Then, almost 10 years ago, ovarian cancer was found in my big sister, Lisa. After months of treatment, she thought the nightmare was over. Eight years later, in 2023, the cancer returned. Again, another strenuous round of surgery, chemo and drug therapies.

She was able to catch her breath over the last year. Until, this week, when she learned of its return. This is now a battle for time.

Anyone who knows Lisa, can testify to her strength. This is a woman who can do it all! And she does! First and foremost, she is the fierce Momma to three incredible young men- a testament to her dedication. They are her heart, her everything.

With her degree in Early Childhood Development, she has invested her life’s work, in nurturing others. As a professional nanny for 30 years, she’s has cared for numerous children and their families.

Lisa’s life is caring for and loving people. That is who she is.

She is the friend in your corner, cheering you on. The person you can always count on. The wise confidant, with wisdom to share. A voice of reason and the encourager of dreams. Lisa is a beacon of strength and the best friend anyone could hope for.

As she’s about to begin another round of treatments, now is our chance to care for her. Lisa needs a village of love and support to help see her through this next battle.

No one wants to ask for help. And no one wants to need help. But there are times that we all need a little help. When we need support- emotional, spiritual and sometimes financial.

This is one of those times.

She needs support for so many reasons, from her inability to work during treatments to the rising costs of an inept healthcare system. Fighting cancer is a war, with battles fought on many fields.

Lisa needs to focus on healing. The stress of finances during a health crisis, compounds more stress. So this is a way that we, her village, can help by lifting some of her burden.

We all feel helpless at a time like this. This a tangible way that so many can help- Love in action.
