Hi, my name is Melissa, and I’m raising funds to help my friend Lisa safely relocate and start over after finding herself trapped in an unsafe and emotionally abusive living situation.

A month ago, Lisa moved across the country with hope and love in her heart — ready to begin a new chapter. She left behind everything familiar, using her entire life savings to make the move. What she didn’t know was that the environment she was entering was deeply unsafe.

Since arriving, Lisa has experienced verbal and emotional abuse, witnessed active drug use, and found herself isolated in a rural area with no nearby support, no transportation, and very little money left. She’s been sleeping on a couch in a home that’s unsafe and unsanitary, trying to keep herself and her pets out of harm’s way while she figures out a plan.

Lisa is doing everything she can to get out — applying for jobs, finding small house-cleaning gigs, and reaching out for help — but she’s quickly running out of funds and options.

She has a huge heart, has always been kind to everyone around her, and deserves to feel safe and stable again. She just needs a little help to bridge the gap and get back on her feet.
