Help Lisa during her Covid-19 recovery

Donation protected
Hi my name is Reilly, some of you may know me as Lisa’s youngest daughter. My mom is the kindest and most giving individual I know. She has made it her life’s work to help others and animals. She is strong, independent and brave but right now she and our family are struggling.
Over the course of the last three years my mother has fearlessly battled an array of serious medical issues. In 2020 she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Then in 2021 she got sick again and was diagnosed with a autoimmune disorder called ulcerative colitis. She has dealt with them both to the best of her ability keeping a positive mindset and attitude.
As many of you know my mom contracted Covid-19 in early January of this year. Her health took a serious decline. During this time when she stayed home she was bed ridden. Finally on the 23rd of January she went to the hospital. On the 19th of February they made the decision to put my mom on a ventilator. It’s been a long process but finally last Tuesday her doctor made the decision to have a tracheotomy done to wean her off the ventilator. She is still heavily sedated but we know that she is getting better and is starting wake. Unfortunately, she still has a long road of recovery ahead of her. She will have to undergo intensive physical therapy and respiratory therapy. Once released from the ICU she will spend at least a month or longer regaining her strength and muscle in a rehab facility. We can only hope she continues to improve.

This hasn’t been easy on us. Through the emotional ups and downs to finances it seems endless. My stepdad Jim has had to deal independently with finances. Although my mom is on disability through our insurance it’s only short term and not close to our normal income. I currently am attending school full time and work part time. The emotional toll and stress of finances is nothing compared to our fears for her health. Her health and recovery is all we want to be able to focus on right now. We ask only if you can that you donate and that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
