I’m posting this for my dear friend Lisa. Asking for help does not come easily to her, but she is currently facing cancer treatment, chronic pain, and housing instability while caring for her boys.

Lisa’s Story

Over the past year, Lisa’s health has taken an unexpected turn.

Severe neurological migraines and spinal degeneration forced her to step away from work while doctors searched for answers. Recently, she received another difficult diagnosis — invasive lobular breast cancer.

Right now, her doctors are determining the next steps. If the cancer has not spread, treatment will likely include surgery followed by 4–8 weeks of radiation.

This fundraiser is meant to provide temporary support during treatment only. The goal is to help Lisa get through this period of surgery, radiation, and recovery so she can return to work and normal life as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, months of medical appointments and time away from work have already created financial strain. Lisa is currently three months behind on rent, and the upcoming treatment period will make working consistently very difficult.

Two of her sons are still living at home with her, and keeping their home stable during this time means everything.

Support from this fundraiser will help cover:

• Rent and essential living expenses

• Medical costs not covered by insurance

• Transportation to treatment and appointments

Lisa is also working with her medical team and cancer support organizations to apply for grants and other assistance programs as they become available.

This is temporary help during a difficult medical season, and every donation or share truly helps.
