Lisa and Delbert Floyd’s home was flooded in the flash flood in Waco the night of June 14. The water rushed in so swiftly that they fled on foot to higher ground and were unable to take food, clothing or any personal items. Their understanding when they purchased the home 1 year ago was that it included flood insurance but have learned that is not standard coverage for water coming into the house.

Lisa and Delbert are caring for 8 children, and their immediate need right now is mattresses for their beds and possibly damaged appliances. Donations will be used to replace mattresses, food, appliances and other essentials so they may have a safe shelter for themselves and the children living with them. This support will help them rebuild and provide stability after such a traumatic event.
