Help Lisa Cahill Through Her Cancer Journey
Donation protected
I'm Kathy Winter. I'm a friend of Lisa Cahill. She was diagnosed with colon cancer on March 14, 2025. She did not have any symptoms. The cancer was found during a routine colonoscopy. Surgery was not an option because of the location of the cancer. Chemotherapy was quickly scheduled. For 16 weeks, Lisa goes to chemo every other Wednesday. Before she leaves, an additional chemo bag is attached to her via a chemo port. This chemo is for 46 hours. She then returns to the clinic to have the bag removed. The days to follow are sometimes good, sometimes bad. Each day is different, and she never knows how she is going to feel from day to day.
While Lisa is off work, she is not receiving a paycheck. She has not been at her job for a year, so there isn't paid time off or vacation hours available.
We (Lisa's Village) are having fundraisers to help her with expenses and procedures not covered by insurance.
Feel free to join Lisa's journey on Facebook; look for LISA'S VILLAGE and send a request to join. Thank you.
5/25 I thought it was time to update everyone. This past week Lisa completed her 4th round of chemo. She is at the 1/2 way point. There are good and bad days with the focus on good.
Lisa recently share a statement with me that needs to be shared. I AM NOT CANCER.....I HAVE CANCER. She focuses on the positive energy. She doesn’t want to be treated as an invalid. While its difficult to ask for help...she will.
Continued thank yous to everyone in Lisa's Village. Your support means so so much to her.
