My name is Lisa Burich. I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder in May of 2024. I have been off work since the end of January 2024. I have done many different therapies and have had several different evaluations done in the last year and a half. I did try to get back to work this past June but was unable to stay at my old job. The symptoms of my disorder take over when I am physically active. I would like to go to the neurological institute in Waukesha, Wisconsin to see if they can narrow down my diagnosis and get me on a beneficial treatment plan. Unfortunately they are out of network with my insurance. They require full payment before treatment starts. I do not have income currently. My long term disability ended in April 2025. I am married and have been depending on my husband to help pay my monthly bills. However, he had to take early retirement a few years ago due to severe heart failure. It has been a struggle for me as I have always been able to support my own way until January of 2024. I have put the go fund me off as long as I could. I just would like to get some answers and get on a treatment plan that will get me back to my former self or at least as close to my old self as possible.
