On Tuesday morning, February 10th 2026, my mom, Lisa Boothe, a 61-year-old mother of four and grandmother of three, went to visit a friend's house. What ended up happening was her friend's four large dogs somehow got loose and viciously attacked her. She was severely injured all over her body and during the attack believed she was going to die. She was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital and rushed in for treatment. After it was determined that the hospital would be able to treat the many injuries she sustained and she did not need to be transferred to another facility, my dad was allowed in to briefly see her and then she was taken into surgery. After five hours, she was out of surgery and in recovery. We were beyond relieved that she had survived the horrible attack and long surgery. She has been doing well and is in very good spirits, and as usual, is worrying about how everyone else is doing. But she still has a lot of healing to do, both physically and mentally, and being uninsured, treatments are going to be very costly. She is going to need a lot of help to get through her recovery journey.
The funds raised will help cover medical bills, physical therapy, treatment for PTSD, cosmetic surgeries, and living expenses while she is unable to work. The costs are overwhelming, and our family is doing everything we can to support her, but we know we can't do it alone. Any and all donations will mean so much to our family. My mom deserves the chance at a full recovery so that she can get back to being the best mom and nana in the world. Please share and support if you can.
