Lisa went into the hospital the day after Thanksgiving 2020 after weeks of suffering with stomach issues and pain in her left arm.
After multiple visits to the local ER, being sent home with antibiotics, and no information, her condition worsened.
Once she was finally admitted to the hospital, she was suffering from C-Diff from 4 courses of antibiotics in addition to Ulcerative Collitis and the mystery of her arm yet to be discovered.
As her treatment began, her arm pain became unbearable and her fingertips were turning blue. It eventually became apparent that her arm was basically dying.
That's when the surgery began.
After 5 surgeries, things looked grim. Lisa was in so much pain that they rushed her back in for a 6th surgery. One of two outcomes were possible:
Operate in multiple locations on her arm and remove blood clots in an effort to save it.
-OR-
Remove the lower arm and hand.
It was two weeks of a rollercoaster of emotions, but at 6 days post-op, things are looking up at last.
Lisa works part-time on contract, so she has no benefits. Her future is uncertain at this point as she might not regain full use of her hand.
As you might imagine, after 2 months of missed work, 2 weeks in Critical Care, and a long road of physical therapy ahead, she could really use your help.
Please donate as you are able and willing from the heart. Anything will help no matter how small.
Thank you and God Bless.
