Help Lisa and Ernest Through Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Today we share both Lisa Hawes-Webb’s story and her testimony. Lisa’s biological mother passed away in November of 2003 from ovarian cancer. Only four short months later, Lisa was diagnosed with Lupus. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that has a high probability of eventually affecting the body's kidney function. Regrettably, Lisa's kidneys were eventually impacted by the condition. Her first kidney biopsy was performed in 2012. The result of the procedure confirmed a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease (CKD). As time passed, her kidney function continued to decline and eventually led to the necessity for peritoneal dialysis (PD). She has been doing home dialysis since September of 2023. God has truly blessed her throughout this process.
Because of God's amazing grace, Lisa has been accepted as a candidate for a kidney transplant. Insurance will cover some costs. However, both Lisa and her husband Ernest will be out of work during the transplant and the following necessary recovery period. Unfortunately, all PDOs were depleted due to multiple previous hospital stays.
As her closest friends and family, we seek any financial support you may be able to provide on her behalf. We are asking all that will to please donate toward their ongoing household bills and modifications that will be needed to the home. No amount is too small and all who can give will definitely be appreciated. We know and understand the current economy is tough, so if you are unable to give, please send your most powerful prayers and thoughts their way.
Submitted on behalf of Lisa and Ernest Webb, may God bless each of you.
