As much as I hate to post this, my heart is telling me to share what is going on with my cancer diagnosis. After having very scary symptoms Wednesday and Thursday (numbness and tingling all on my left side, unable to walk, slurred speech, and lack of being able to articulate thoughts), my mom took me to the ER at Memorial Hospital where I was admitted to ICU. They did multiple brain and full-body MRIs and CT scans where they found multiple metastases from the melanoma. I have 6 visible lesions on my brain (possibly more), 2 brain bleeds, metastasis to my ribs, hip, and more in my lungs and cervix. I was transferred to St. John’s Providence in Santa Monica, where I’ve been going for years for oncology since my original diagnosis in 2019, last evening via ambulance. I’ll soon undergo more scans and testing and spend time on the oncology floor. I don’t know what the plan of treatment is, but whatever it is, I pray to God it’s aggressive. I’m not afraid of being sick due to treatment; what I’m terrified of is being sick due to the cancer and losing my life. I have way too much to live for…Ethan, Cohen, Brielle, Abriana, my momma.
