My name is Natasha Radecke and I am reaching out to everyone on behalf of my best friend Natasha Reiher, Bryce Dale, and their 8-year-old son Linkoln (Link). I met Natasha Reiher 17 years ago, working together at a local veterinary hospital, and we have been best friends ever since.
Link is a 3rd grader at Winnequah School in Monona, Wisconsin. He loves his three dogs and his cat. He loves tag football, fishing, swimming, chocolate ice cream, and hanging out with his friends at the park after school. Right now, he can't wait to do all of those things again — and we can't wait for him to get there.
On February 20, 2026, Link was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. In the weeks since, he has had blood transfusions, a bone marrow biopsy, two lumbar punctures, his first round of chemotherapy as an inpatient at UW Children's Hospital, and his second round as an outpatient. He's been incredibly brave. He's in good spirits — gaining color and finally eating again.
But the road ahead is long. Link’s treatment will likely continue for the next 2–3 years. Right now he's classified as standard risk rather than high risk. If he continues responding well, he'll receive chemotherapy once a week as an outpatient. Every fever above 100.4F means a trip to the ER to rule out infection in his chemo port. Every illness, every treatment, every bad day means one of his parents needs to be there.
That's where things get really hard.
Link's mom, Natasha Reiher, only has two more weeks of paid time off. His dad, Bryce, is self-employed and has no paid time off at all. They cannot be at chemo treatments and doctor's appointments — which they are required to attend — while also earning the income that keeps the lights on, food on the table, and most critically, Link's health insurance active.
This fundraiser exists to bridge that gap. Every dollar donated goes toward real, immediate household needs: mortgage, transportation, utilities, groceries, and health insurance premiums — the bills that don't pause for cancer. It means Natasha can call in when Link needs her without calculating whether this is the week they can afford it. It means Bryce can take time to sit with his son or get him ice cream.
Natasha and Bryce should not have to choose between being at Link's side for life-saving chemotherapy and keeping a roof over their family's head. No parent should face that choice. If you're able to give, even a small amount helps pay for groceries so Natasha can be in that treatment room without worry. Please share this page even if you can't donate — it makes an enormous difference.
Link has a lot of tag football left to play. Help us get him there.
