In the picture is Lindsey Price.
For the last 17 years she has worked at Starbucks. The last 4 years she has been a staple in the Eastlake Starbucks location. On March 17th, the day Eastlake Starbucks filed a petition to unionize, a letter was made public about our unionization that included Lindsey's name. On March 18th, Lindsey’s manager’s put her employment under review over a discrepancy in a store policy. Starbucks did not give Lindsey an answer on her employment until April 29th(over a month of being out of work), when they terminated her employment with no notice after 17 years of loyal employment and 9 years of not even receiving a write up. This is followed by Starbucks denying her unemployment, over a month after her termination.
On top searching for new employment, Lindsey is in her last year for a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science. Lindsey is an amazing, hard working and caring person. She was an anchor of the Eastlake Starbucks. Customers and employees loved her and felt supported by her. She was one of the strongest guides in cultivating meaningful relationships with customers and coworkers. She’s always been loyal and supportive of her friends. This is us, her friends, trying to support her in this unexpected time of hardship.
The funds that are raised here will help assist with her living expenses while she navigates trying to find new employment.
