Update!! All of these donations are so appreciated!! Part of our goal was raised very quickly!! I went ahead and put the GoFundMe on pause for now while we gather next best steps. My sister has an appointment with MD Anderson next week and we are hoping and praying they will get her on a chemo regimen that will work. Your donations and your kindness and prayers are so appreciated and will continue to be appreciated while we come together as a family in support of my sister. Sending blessings and love to all of you that took the time to show your care and support ❤️
Hello friends! As some of you may know, my sister Lindsey was diagnosed with cancer in 2022. When they first discovered it, it was diagnosed as stage 3 colon cancer. She underwent multiple procedures, hospital stays, and rounds of chemo that we initially thought worked to cure her cancer. Six months went by after her last chemo treatment, only for her to be re-scanned and find out that not only had the cancer spread, but she is now stage 4. She is currently working full-time and doing chemo treatments. Not only is she working full-time and battling cancer, but she is a single mom to 2 boys who are in school and sports. She has managed to push through the extreme fatigue and sickness to be there 100% for her boys' games and working nights to make sure they are supported. It's amazing what my sister can do. Through all of this, she has been in and out of the hospital for infections, fever, and illness. It's with great disappointment that through her hospital visits and scans, we know now that the chemo is not working and the cancer is spreading even further. She has been advised by her doctor to quit her job, focus on her children, and focus on healing as much as she possibly can.
If you feel it in your heart or you feel called to donate, your donation would go directly to help my sister pay her bills, support her children, her medical bills/treatments, and to help her remain financially stable while we navigate next steps.
If you are unable to donate, please just keep my sister and her kiddos, Carter & Landon, in your prayers. Pray for peace, comfort, and healing! I am hopeful that with rest and a new chemo regimen, we can get this on the right track.
Hugs and love to you all!
