Lindsey adopted Charlie at just 21 years old, when Charlie was a 9-month-old foster fail who quickly became her heart dog. Over the past nine years, they’ve grown up together — through moves, milestones, setbacks, and successes (eight relocations and countless memories). There’s something truly special about the bond formed in your early 20s, especially with a pet who’s been by your side through it all.
In February, Charlie was playing outside, slipped on wet leaves while being her goofy, joyful self, and suffered a complete ACL tear. Two days later, she tore the other back leg’s ACL trying to jump into the car when Lindsey wasn’t looking.
These injuries leave Lindsey with two difficult choices:
1. Keep Charlie on long-term pain medication and do rehab to hope her condition doesn’t worsen
2. Move forward with critical surgery so Charlie can walk, run, and live comfortably again
The surgery is our best path to giving Charlie a happy, active, pain-free life — but it comes with a $6,000 price tag.
To make matters harder, Lindsey is still paying off $5,000 from her cat Teddy’s recent emergency surgery. She’s doing everything she can, but the financial strain is heavy.
Lindsey is determined to give Charlie the peaceful, joyful golden years she deserves — and we’re asking for help to make that possible.
Every donation — no matter how small — makes a meaningful difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this page helps just as much.
Let’s help these two continue their journey together, healthy, happy, and stress-free as they enter their next decade side-by-side
