Some of you will be familiar with Lindsay’s story, and how she was originally diagnosed with cancer after months of an unexplained health issue.
While things looked great with the original treatment plan there is an update.
Before reading, please know that my sister, Lindsay is one of the strongest people I know. A fighter, a mother, a friend, and an all around amazing human being who is going to do everything she can to fight this terrible disease. We’re thinking positively and you should too.
For those not familiar, this is her story:
March 2025: Lindsay was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer after 6 ER visits in less than 2 months
May - September 2025: she received chemotherapy and radiation
December 2025: she was told she was “disease free” but a shadow was showing up on her liver. Her doctor said it was nothing to worry about February 2026 follow up MRI & biopsy confirm the cancer had spread into her liver
March 2026: pet scan showed the cancer had spread to lymph nodes as well as liver.
April 2026: Lindsay was told it is now stage 4 cancer and her only course of action is a cocktail of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and biologic. She was told this would “buy her some time” but she’s convinced she’s going to prove the doctors wrong.

As of tomorrow (April 14, 2026), she’s starting a strong round of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, with the hopes that this may lead to surgery being a future option. While she is able to work for the first two rounds or so, I know how stressful it can be not working, especially when you’re a single mother of three kids.
If you’re able to help Lindsay during this challenging time, it would mean the world to her and the kids. Either donating here or by email to macdonald dot Rickard at gmail dot com
