Help Lindsay Sobel Heal!

Lindsay Sobel is one of the most selfless people I know. She is a dedicated wife, loving aunt, hard-working ophthalmic technician and still makes time to spend copious amounts of time with her growing family.
Lindsay has been struggling for years with a recurring corneal infection. As someone who has been involved in the eye-care field for 12+ years this was particularly difficult. She has struggled with severe vision loss, chronic pain, trouble commuting to work and difficulty working entirely.
As one can imagine, any loss of vision can be devastating and life-altering and unfortunately Lindsay knows this all too well.
She had a full thickness corneal transplant in the Fall of 2017 in Pennsylvania. Recovery from such a massive surgery is an uphill battle, even without complications. Unfortunately the infection has returned with a vengeance and Lindsay’s symptoms are more problematic than ever.
As we all know, with long term medical care comes high medical bills. The majority of Lindsay’s topical eye drops are not covered by insurance. The rising cost of copays and hospital bills quickly pile up. Because she needs special medical attention, emergency room visits require a lengthy commute to an eye-specific hospital in Philadelphia. As if the expense wasn’t enough to bear, Lindsay has been unable to work during this time.
Please keep Lindsay and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Lindsay is a constant source of strength and laughter. She has a smile that can brighten the darkest of days. She has not only been courageous during this entire process, but she’s been a constant source of love and light for anyone she comes in contact with. Lindsay was always compassionate while working in the eye care industry, but these series of trials and tribulations have made her even more kind and considerate while helping others with their own eye-related struggles.
While the future is uncertain, Lindsay’s strength and positivity is sure to carry her through these difficult times with the help of her amazing family and friends. That being said, some additional assistance would be extremely helpful.
Any donation you can make is greatly appreciated and will help to alleviate some of the financial stress she has encountered during this already difficult time.
Thank you.
