My name is Lindsay, and I am reaching out for help after a series of devastating losses. Recently, I lost my father, and just when I was finally starting to deal with the grief, my beloved cat became sick with a terrible cancer. She was my best friend. and I saw her as my child. The vet bills for my cat (blood work, xray, ultrasounds, surgery, medications, and critial care) were overwhelming and completely wiped out my life savings, leaving me without a home. With nowhere else to turn, I had to keep all of my belongings in a storage unit, and live out of a duffle bag in my mothers spare storage room, hoping to keep them safe until I could get back on my feet. Tragically, the storage unit was broken into and everything I owned was stolen.

Now, I am left with nothing—no clothing, appliances, makeup, or furniture. The loss has been incredibly difficult, both emotionally and financially. I had stuff stolen that I've had since birth, and things I planned on being buried with. I am doing my best to stay hopeful, but it’s hard to see a way forward on my own, especially with the compounded grief that has made it hard for me to work as much this year. The funds raised here will help me replace the essentials that were stolen and begin to recover from the financial burden of the vet bills. Every little bit helps, and your kindness can make a real difference in helping me rebuild my life.
