On Tuesday January 10th, 2023 my Sister, Lindsay, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. Many people have asked us and offered help… so I wanted to organize this so there is one central place to show support.
This particular cancer is a rapidly spreading cancer and aggressively intensive treatment is urgent and will begin right away.
She is 39 years young and this was her first Mammogram. Needless to say Lindsay and our entire family were rocked to our core by this news and in shock. We are all processing and preparing to fight this head on and full force.
Lindsay is a Wife to my brother Nat and a Mother. She is steadfast and dedicated to helping others and our community in more ways than I can possibly name. In my eyes and so many others… she IS a strong Woman in every sense.
Her overall and long-term treatment as it stands now (which could alter and change as more tests and procedures are done) will consist of months of chemotherapy, medications, radiation, and multiple surgeries. We are awaiting more results on testing as well.
I come to each of you now from every single part of my heart to ask for your support for her and family in whatever ways I am able as we navigate through this. There will be many countless medical and other needs and services that insurance will absolutely not cover and this support will greatly ease the stress, fears, and financial worries and burdens throughout this battle. This is to help her and her family with out of pocket expenses, meeting their deductibles, gas, food, and supplies. The goal of this fundraiser is to surround my Sister with love and support in whatever ways you’re able to.. to help greatly reduce the stressors and aid in her healing. I will be steadfast by her side to Caregive for her, transport her, advocate, fight for, lift up, and meet whatever needs she has… along with my brother (her husband), her Mother, and other loved ones as well.
The costs and toll of all of this will without doubt fluctuate over the next year but we do know she will have many expected and unexpected necessities for her medical and overall well-being in order for her to fight this… and those needs will certainly change and evolve.
This is a long journey… but one that we as a United family… and with our friends, community, and extended families support will see-through to the end with full healing and success.

Also… I know that Lindsay wants everyone to know that regardless of what age you are… PLEASE go get your Mammogram and be tested. If she’d waited any longer this would have been more severe. Please please get an appointment no matter your age.
