Lindsay was visiting family and came home this morning (New Years Day) to a complete loss of all of her possessions and her beloved pets. This is her first apartment and it is adjacent to our father/father in law's house. This is the second tragic fire in her life. Unfortunately, not only did she lose everything but she did not have a rental policy. She will have to buy back everything that normally takes years and thousands of dollars to accumulate including clothes, furniture, pictures and also things that cannot be replaced. We estimate the replacement costs at >$10,000 and we would love to raise that amount but we really want to drive hard to achieve our goal so we set it at $2,500.00. Lindsay is an exceptional and giving person and I know that she will deeply appreciate your support, although she did not ask. For those that know her, we want to do this for her and she doesn't need to ask.
Please keep Lindsay in your thoughts and prayers and we would like to get her funded by January 6th so that she can at least start to rebuild some of the basics.
The news story is on the wdrb website (Fern Creek fire).
