Help Lindsay and Sam Overcome Heart Disease

Donation protected
Years ago our world was turned upside down when my best friend - Sam Denti- got very sick out of nowhere and needed a heart transplant. We spent horrific months praying and hoping for the best as Sam had a ton of surgeries, was in comas and flatlined twice. Prayers were answered and Sam received her miracle and got a beautiful healthy heart that saved her life. She was given a second chance at life and has truly lived it the fullest - but the best thing that could have happened to her was meeting the love of her life, Lindsay.
Lindsay and Sam had an instant connection and quickly formed a happy little family as Lindsay has two sons, 8 and 12 year olds- Noah and Lucas. The 4 of them have lived a life together these last few years full of laughter and fun and love. 6 months ago Sam and Lindsay got married and thought they got their happy ever after - but here we are once again- totally blindsided as our world has turned upside down again.
Lindsay, just turned 40 two weeks ago started to notice chest pain and pain that ran into her jaw and then down her arm. Being a heart conscious family - she immediately made appointments with cardiologists. Last week, while waiting for her next appointment- Lindsay’s pain reached an ultimate high and had trouble breathing- and was immediately rushed to the hospital. It was then Lindsay and Sam’s worst fear came true- Lindsay was now battling a disease of her own and it was affecting the heart.
Lindsay has been diagnosed with SCAD - spontaneous coronary artery dissection. This causes her arteries to just split snd dissect for no reason at all. The arteries in her neck dissected- causing a stroke. And now the doctors are cautiously working on a gameplan to repair the dissected arteries in her heart. The doctors also fear she may have an autoimmune disease that is causing her own body to attack the arteries. Right now she is currently undergoing testing and treatment as the wonderful team of doctors and nurses prep her for open heart surgery.
Sam has been sleeping in the hospital chair next to her making sure she gets the best care and trying to keep Lindsay’s spirits up and remain positive.
But as we have learned before, bills and life do not stop just because of emergencies and health problems.
Lindsay and Sam are two of the hardest working people. Lindsay, a social worker- is not eligible with her new job for disability- as she just started working in a new school this past September. Having started a new job this fall Lindsay was only given a small amount of sick and personal days. Due to taking off for their wedding, days off for her son’s sickness or activities, coming down with regular sickness over the year, and now this… She is out of days and will not receive a paycheck, not only will she not receive a paycheck, they will have to pay out of pocket to keep their health benefits for the family.
Sam’s work schedule has come to a hault as she has not left Lindsay’s side.
We are asking for donations to help these newlyweds so that finance is one less stress for this difficult time. No amount is too small and beyond appreciated! And more than anything- we ask for you to pray for Lindsay, this young mother of two beautiful wonderful boys.
