Help Lindora Lee Rebuild Her Home After a Devastating Storm On August 18-19, 2026, during the severe storms that impacted Wyandotte County, Kansas, a massive tree in front of my mother's home fell onto her house, causing extensive damage to the roof, ceilings, electrical service, vehicles and personal belongings.

During the storm, a huge tree in front of her house came crashing down onto the property. The impact caused extensive damage to her roof and home and left our family facing repairs that we simply cannot handle alone.

The damage is extensive. The fallen tree and branches damaged the roof and left multiple openings in the ceiling, including damage in one of the bedrooms, the hallway, and the kitchen. Because the roof and ceiling were left exposed, rainwater has continued getting into the home and has damaged some of my mother’s personal belongings.

The storm also damaged the electrical power meter located at the back of the house, leaving my mother without electricity. She has now been without power for approximately a month.

Several vehicles that were parked in the driveway were also damaged when the tree and branches came down.

What was once my mother's home has become a place filled with uncertainty. We are trying to figure out how to safely remove the massive tree, protect the house from additional weather damage, repair the roof and ceilings, restore electrical service, clean up the property, and replace or repair belongings that were damaged by the rain.

We are asking for help.
