Help Lindee Stocking Get Vital Medical Care

Hi, everyone. I'm Scott Stocking, and I want to introduce you to my little sister, Lindee Stocking. She's a single mom of three kids under 10 with a loving, supporting extended family assisting her. Our 85-year-old dad lives with her, but he's getting to the point where he needs as much care as Lindee right now.

For the past few years, she's been struggling with various health issues, from epilepsy to her hemochromatosis, which Mayo Clinic confirmed after several doctors in Omaha were at a loss for a correct diagnosis. Prior to Mayo Clinic, she had several tests and procedures that could not correctly diagnose her symptoms. She even had iron transfusions before being diagnosed with hemochromatosis, which only complicates that condition.

Hemochromatosis is fatal if not managed. She needs the port to manage it, but doctors in Omaha to this point have been unwilling to put one in, and she can't afford to go back to Mayo Clinic. Our prayers to remove the barriers to getting the port have been effective lately, in that she has at least one doctor in Omaha who is willing to advocate for her with the appropriate specialist. She does have Medicare and Medicaid and other public assistance because she's considered totally disabled, but day-to-day living expenses continue to be a challenge. If you could contribute some amount toward her expenses (not eligible for tax deduction), she would greatly appreciate it. Her dad has been doing DoorDash, but at 85 driving is increasingly risky for him.

Lindee's hope is that once she gets the port in and can start the appropriate treatments, she can get healthy enough to return to work (her employer says she has her job waiting for her). Thank you so much for taking time to review our request.
