Donation protected
We are trying to raise funds for the most incredible mother, friend, and person I know.
Linda is survived by her children, Jennifer Scadden, Steve Jarvis, Valerie Cline, her grandchildren, Ryan Burnham, Brandon Scadden, Hailey Scadden, her brother Paul Brown and her son in laws Brad Scadden and Josh Deshong.
Linda, as some of you know has had her struggles the last few years due to congestive heart failure and severe intestinal issues that were ignored by health providers and which later turned to sepsis. It had been horrific and painful what Linda had endured during the time. Her children Valerie, Jennifer and Stephen provided cared for her during this time and seeing what she was going through all you could do is wish peace for her.
We are hoping with this go fund me, we can ease some of the financial burden for the family.
The family is now not only having to face life without their matriarch, but now facing funeral expenses and inherited finacial obligations during there times of grieving.
Linda had a a career of waitressing, not afraid of hard work and never called in sick. She was tasked eventually with raising three kids by herself as a single parent. She often worked two jobs to make ends meet.
Her life revolved around her children, cooking and sports.
Linda always had a passion for cooking. Some of her favorite meals of her children include: biscuits and gravy, spaghetti, tacos, chicken and dumplings, and so much more. Linda was an amazing cook and we only hope her children will carry down some of her recipes that have been passed down from her mother.
One thing about Linda, she was a die hard sports enthusiast who loved the game of baseball and football. Linda has always been a Giants fan and football well let’s say she borders between the 49ers and the Chiefs. (No not because Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift - before their time) Linda has always been a long time fan and admirer of the great Joe Montana. So while she rooted for the 49ers she had a sweet spot for the Chiefs, to follow who she called one of the best players to ever play the game - Joe Montana. Anybody who knows Linda knows she was serious about her sports. She also supported her sons long time baseball career through little league and serving on the board of directors for spartan little league then moving on to high school then college baseball. She also supported her daughter Valerie in playing softball and eventually became the designated score keeper for the team her grandson Ryan played for coached by Valerie, Steve Josh & Matt. She also Supported and loved watching her grandkids, Brandon Scadden and Haley Scadden through their Baseball years who were coached by her son-in-law Brad Scadden. I guess you can say Baseball has always been in our family.
As her friend and son in law, I love to talk about my mother in law Linda, her kind heart, her ability to love unconditionally, her genuine character, her love for cooking, our shared times of playing cards, her happy demeanor, her love for sports and her appreciation and love she had for her customers during her career of waitressing. Linda loved that she knew what you wanted before you even knew what you wanted. She found joy in serving people and taking care of them. Linda had even taken in other kids throughout the years going through tough times. She was always there for whoever needed her.
Linda is one of those people you are lucky to call a family or friend.
Emotionally and financially, this is devastating, and will take time to heal but we kindly ask, if you are available to help with the funeral she needs and deserves -
Anything is greatly appreciated.
This whole situation has been absolutely heart wrenching and the pain the family is suffering is significant.
The family wants to thank so many people, but they can’t name them all that gave the care and support for Linda.
Pacific Hills Manor really deserves a huge thank you for taking care of Linda in the end of her days. They provided the family with a private room that allowed her family to be with her never leaving her side in those final days and to say goodbye.❤️
This account is being created to help our family with funeral expenses and to assist those left behind with any financial assistance needed.
I know not everyone is in a position to give, but if you can, please help. If you can’t give monetarily, please uplift this family in thoughts and prayers as they face this unimaginable loss.
