On July 1, our dear friend Linda was hit by a truck while walking her three beloved dogs.
Thankfully, Linda’s physical injuries were relatively minor, but tragically, one of her dogs did not survive. Her other two dogs remain under the care of emergency veterinarians, and while we are hopeful, it appears that complex surgeries and ongoing medical care will likely be needed.
Anyone who knows Linda knows that she would never ask for help. She is the first person to show up for others and the last person to think of herself. That’s why we’re asking on her behalf.
Right now, we want Linda to be able to focus on healing, grieving, and caring for her dogs—not worrying about the significant veterinary expenses ahead.
Linda has spent years giving of herself to others. She is a devoted supporter of a national Service Dog organization and a dedicated volunteer with Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue. She has poured countless hours, endless compassion, and an open heart into improving the lives of both people and dogs. Her kindness has touched so many, and she has given far more than any of us could ever repay.
This fundraiser is not about charity. It is about love. It is about a community coming together to lift someone who has spent her life lifting others. It is one small way we can ease the burden during a time that feels impossibly heavy.
If you are able to contribute, no matter the amount, we know it will mean the world to Linda. And if you’re not in a position to give, sharing this page and keeping Linda and her dogs in your thoughts is a gift as well.
Thank you for helping us surround Linda with the same compassion, generosity, and hope that she has shared with so many throughout her life.
