My name is Linda Garza.
For those of you who know me, you know I am very hardworking, single parent, and don't like asking for charities. But unfortunately, I find myself in a financial hardship situation and in dire/urgent need of assistance for rent, bills, etc. I have been unemployed for 14 months due to COVID-19, and my unemployment benefits ended approximately 6 months ago.
I have depleted every penny of my savings and no longer have the means to pay for my rent and bills, etc. Come July 1st, if I cannot pay my rent, my daughter and I will face eviction with no place to go.
Aside from that, my vehicle was hit from behind and has been deemed a total loss. It has been sitting in my parking lot for over a year, now. I have been walking to the grocery store and even to turn in job applications nearby.
I am not used to asking for help and I feel very ashamed and embarrassed to have to do so. My pride has stopped me many times from asking for help. But at this point, I need to set my pride aside, and humbly ask for help. I ask that you find it in your heart to help me get through these next two months, so my daughter and I won't have to face eviction, with no place to turn.
