Linda is a 79-year-old woman who has spent her life caring for her autistic son, who is 53 and has the understanding of a young child. I have known Linda for 63 years, and she has always been honest, caring, and devoted to her family. Her son is a handful, but Linda refuses to give up on him, showing a strength and love that inspires everyone around her.
Four years ago, Linda lost her home to a fire and lost everything she owned. She moved into a new place on Black River, which was far from perfect, but she worked hard and invested what she could to make it livable. Now, disaster has struck again. Recent floods in Cheboygan have devastated her home, and with dams failing, Linda is facing the possibility of losing almost everything once more. The situation is ongoing and uncertain, and Linda doesn’t know what to do next.
Linda needs help to recover from this latest disaster. The funds raised will help her and her son replace lost items, repair their home, and support them as they face a long road ahead. Linda has always been a good friend to me and to many others. I hope you will join me in supporting her through this difficult time, so she can find hope and stability once again.
