I never thought I’d be writing something like this.

Yesterday, my apartment in Mexico City caught fire. In just a few hours, I lost almost everything. What wasn’t destroyed by the flames was damaged by smoke and water.

I haven’t been able to go back since I’m not currently in Mexico, and the place has been sealed. The electrical connections have been cut, and the apartment is currently uninhabitable. I’ve been told that what isn’t broken, wet, or burned has been taken—there are things that were there before and are no longer there now.

Everything I’ve worked for since arriving in Mexico has been affected.

It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but right now I truly need it. I created this fundraiser to help cover immediate needs and begin rebuilding my life step by step.
