Help Linda KO cancer

Please help Linda win her battle with cancer. Linda has recently been diagnosed with a rare Peritoneal Cancer and is in urgent need of assistance. It was discovered on October 2nd, 2021. Linda was admitted to the hospital that day to have an emergency surgery to remove a blockage in her small intestine. It was discovered, during this surgery, the blockage was a cancerous tumor. Her doctors have recommended a six month treatment plan, consisting of six rounds of chemotherapy and an additional surgery to remove the remaining tumor. Linda will begin chemotherapy on Thursday, November 11th, 2021.

In addition to the mounting medical cost, Linda will likely be unable to work for the duration of the treatment. Even more concerning , is the fact she is uncertain if she will be able to return to work upon the completion of her treatment. Her employer's Leave of Absence policy allows for them to hold someone's position for a maximum of six months. Seeing as her treatment plan is six months, if there is even the slightest delay in the treatment or recovery, she may not have a position to return to. This puts an enormous amount of financial strain on her and her husband, Peter. Peter lost his job 11 years ago, after becoming permanently disabled in an automobile accident. He is able to work a very limited number of hours and receives disability. However, that alone is not able to sustain the financial needs of their household. The added stress this situation creates can be very detrimental to Linda's recovery.

There is no doubt Linda is a fighter. She has overcome more of life's obstacles in her 63 years than should be asked of anyone. Yet, with each one, she has leaned on her faith, risen above the challenge, and became an even stronger woman. Despite everything life has thrown at her, you won't find a more selfless, kindhearted, and loving human being.

Linda has spent her entire life putting the needs of others before her own. Now, when she needs it most, help show her the kindness, generosity, and love she's always given to others.
