Be One of 100 to Spark 10,000 Dreams
Can you imagine your daughter or granddaughter missing school because you couldn’t afford menstrual products for her?
For many girls, especially in poorer countries, this is a harsh reality. Without access to basic sanitary supplies, they’re forced to stay home from school—often falling behind and taking on household chores instead. The boys? They still go to class.
I'm Linda Lysakowski, 82, with a family of 29 and over forty years of experience as a professional fundraiser. I've helped nonprofits of all sizes raise funds for causes close to their hearts. Today, many of these charities face severe budget cuts and frozen funding, impacting the very girls who rely on aid for sanitary products and school materials.
One of my mentees, Raja, left a 20-year corporate career to support small, under-resourced nonprofits in Kolkata, India, focused on women’s health. Together, we’re working to get these girls back to school. But we can’t do it without your support. Your generosity can change lives. We have taken baby steps but have a long way to go.
I seek 100 supporters to contribute only $100 to impact 10,000 girls

The Pad Initiative unites all supporters to stand up and raise a voice for those unfortunate kids who have to miss school because of a fund freeze. Needless to say we are working on building a capital fund to drive financial sustainability in the long run. Some pictures from our recently held event:

The impact of your Donation
We are supporting grassroots programs where volunteers and program partners go door to door, handover pads, tampons, menstrual cups and escort them back to their schools. Your fund will be utilized for:
- Build public opinion for inclusive quality education and the impact of the funding freeze - Getting this message across in media
- Buying pads, tampons and menstrual cups (100% bio-degradeable)
The "Pad-man" who tirelessly works to distribute pads and tampons to the girls. It's a irony that he does not have kids

$60 - Gets pads for 4 girls for 12 months
$100 - We can impact a whole class (Typically 40-50 students) for 1-month
$500 - Gets pads for a whole class for 5 months
$1000 - Pads + Books + Stationary + Chocolates for the whole class for 12 months
If $30 seems small to you (Not to us though) it will get pads for 2 girls for 6 months
- Saying Thank You to our Volunteers - We don't take our volunteers for granted. To show our appreciation, we want to thank them—even with a small gesture like a heartfelt card, a box of chocolates, or a pizza treat.
If you are a parent, or even if you are not, I am sure you will want to contribute to this important project.
Please share among friends and family to spread the message
