Linda E. Davis, a long-time member of the Homemade Method, lives in Greenville, South Carolina, which was in the direct path of Hurricane Helene. She miraculously survived 9 days without electricity, fresh food, clean water, or internet service with the help of a neighbor and whatever food they had in their pantries. Rescue workers finally arrived after 9 days to help clear her home of mud and water, and local churches are currently providing food. Her internet service was just restored today.
Linda’s home was flooded with muddy water and is at risk of being overtaken by mold. Her special handicapped van and electric scooter / wheelchair were completely submerged in muddy water and the losses are not covered by insurance. On top of that, she has a fractured pelvis and broken ribs due to slipping in the mud and will be bedridden for at least a month. Some of you might remember that Linda’s home was previously destroyed in a tornado, and she has been recovering from a near-fatal medical emergency since late last year. It is a miracle she survived this horrible event.
Fellow Homemade Method alumna Margie Richmond and I are trying to raise money for Linda to help replace her wheelchair and whatever else she may need to restore her home. Please consider donating to help accomplish this goal. Thank you.
