Hello, my name is Sandra Kanowski. I am the elder sister of Linda D'Agostino, who recently had a medical emergency that occurred.

While our dear Linda is working hard to recover from a routine medical procedure gone bad, we are reaching out and asking for some help while she is getting back on her feet.

Linda underwent a routine colonoscopy procedure on October 14th, 2025, and was rushed into emergency surgery when immense excruciating pain followed. A perforated bowel occurred during the procedure, which caused internal bleeding and severe inflammation in her abdomen that caused sudden and severe pain. The leakage in her abdomen caused an immediate peritonitis infection, causing immense pain for Linda. The surgery was needed immediately as this type of infection and injury can be fatal.

While emergency surgery was performed to correct the complication in her original procedure without setback, the road to recovery is unknown for Linda. She remained in the ICU for 4 days following her procedure and at this time will need to remain on bed rest, unsure of when she will be able to return to everyday activities and work. If you know Linda, you know her inability to stay still and how this could impact her mental health as well.

We are so grateful that Linda is with us and will hopefully make a full recovery. During this hard time, we are asking for anything that could help her take the load off (medical bills and living expenses). Like so many others struggling in these hard times, we are eternally grateful for anything that can be spared. There is no amount too small.
