December 2024, Linda (Madeano Seals) was fighting what she thought was a stubborn cold, maybe long covid or perhaps walking pneumonia?
By April 2025, Linda learned that she was combatting THREE autoimmune diseases: Systemic Scleroderma, Secondary Sjogren's and Raynaud’s Syndrome.
Each has their hold on her body in very specific ways. The disease of gravest concern, Systemic Scleroderma, attacked her lungs. Within weeks, Linda was placed on oxygen with a life expectancy of 1 to 2 years. We have gone through 1 year already.
Under the care of Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville Tn. March 2026, Linda completed the battery of rigorous testing, is transplant team approved and currently on the wait list for a DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT. https://www.vanderbilthealth.com/program/lung-transplant.

This journey has been surreal for all of us and trying for Linda, to say the least.
