Help Linda and Melody Stay in Their Home
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Melody and my 82 year old elderly mom is Linda. We are facing being homeless come June 5th. It all started 4 years ago when I was laid off during Covid from the company I had been working at long term. I was laid off 3 months shy of being there 13 years. In the past 4 years I have had 2 contract jobs and no prospective full time job. We have been struggling to make ends meet. We have faced being homeless 8 times in the last 4 years. We are facing it now. This time is different. Savings have run out. Our church, family and friends have helped here and there but aren't able to help. My unemployment has run out and I have no income coming in. I take care of my mom as she lives with me. I also take care of my 2 special needs nephews who I would do anything for and help my sister. Everywhere I have gone to for help won't help as I don't have kids. I have an elderly mom who I don't want to live on the streets. If it means she stays in a place and I live in my car I will. I have a rare immune disorder and other medical needs that I need taken care of so I can help care give for my family members. I am a volunteer in my community and serve on my churches event team. I am an honest, hardworking individual who just wants to work and keep a roof over our heads. I made a promise to my dad when he passed 15 years ago that I would take care of mom if anything happened to him. I don't want to break that promise. So I am asking for help to get us by for 6 months. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am looking for help to cover our rent which is over $3000 a month, utilities, gas, food, medical supplies, medical bills and basic necessities like toilet paper, shampoo, etc. I can't thank you enough for reading this and helping us. Pray our situation approves. Please share this with everyone you know. Thank you and God Bless you.
