Help Linda and Max battle Cancer and the loss of their home

Thank you for visiting our fundraiser to help this wonderful couple who are facing the unimaginable challenge of battling Cancer while losing their lifelong home at Christmas.

Linda and Max Noseworthy are two of the most loving and caring people you could ever know, they have shared their home and hearts with too many people to count. But now it is them who desperately need help as Linda is fighting for her life against Cancer and they are facing the loss of the home they have lived in for 50 years (in less then 6 weeks). At 75 and 80 years old they are not able to win this fight alone, we have created this fundraiser to give them to hope and the financial aid they so urgently need.

In August Linda was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and told she would have to undergo several months of chemotherapy if she was going to survive - Chemo began in September. Linda and Max were already struggling under the financial impact of losing both their part time jobs due to Covid and being unable to find work in their late 70's along with the physical, emotional, and financial costs of managing Diabetes, constant pain, and Linda's colon cancer in 2021.

The financial weight of medical expenses, the loss of income, and increasing costs of living pushed them into a downward spiral that imploded in November with the loss of their home. With mounting debt there is nothing left, we are in the process of trying to find them a new place to live over the holidays that will be safe, close to medical care, and that they can afford on their small pensions before the first week of January when they will be removed from their current home. Calgary Housing is helping but there are still many costs that need to be covered and bills that are mounting.

100% of the money raised will be used to cover Linda's medical expenses, the cost of getting and moving to a new home, groceries, household bills, and medical expenses for their adorable little dog Bear who is also in urgent need of medical attention and is their little fur baby and anchor right now.
