Help a Disabled Veteran Give Her Daughter a Birthday to Remember
Hi everyone,
I’m writing this on behalf of my dear friend, Linda, a disabled U.S. military veteran and one of the strongest, most selfless women I know. She’s a single mother who has given everything to both her country and her daughter—and now I’m asking for your help to give a little something back.
After serving in the Marine Corps, Linda returned home with significant injuries that have left her with chronic pain and limited mobility. She just had her third spinal surgery and is still recovering. Despite all she’s been through, her number one priority has always been her daughter, Lily, pictured above.
This year, Lily is turning 21, and all she wants is a simple birthday trip with her mom—just the two of them, making joyful memories together away from doctors’ appointments, financial stress, and daily hardship. As much as Linda would love to give that to her, the reality is that living on a fixed disability income makes it nearly impossible.
That’s why I’m organizing this fundraiser—to help raise $5000, so they can take a short, meaningful roadtrip across the U.S. together. The funds will go toward travel, lodging, meals, and any special birthday surprises that will make the trip unforgettable for them both.
If you’ve ever known a veteran who struggles silently, who gives without asking for anything in return, you know exactly the kind of person Linda is. She never asks for help—but she deserves it.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign. Every bit helps.
With gratitude,
