Hi, my name is Mandy. I am raising funds for my friends, neighbors, and co-worker.
After a very rough 2024, Linda and her wife Eve were starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. Then while Linda was in her bedroom working, she heard an explosion. Her rooftop RV A/C LITERALLY exploded into a ball of flames. Subsequently, the water from the fire hoses drenched everything in the main part of the RV. Smoke damage destroyed everything that wasn't soaked in the rest of the house. Linda was burned on her foot and ankle due to melting plastic from the sunroof when she had to go through the fire to rescue one of their 2 rescue dogs.
Linda was laid off her job last year due to "restructuring". She had a heck of a time finding a job. She and her wife survived on Eve's Social Security Disability until she got a job with me doing telemarketing. She was doing fabulously and they were almost out of the rut from 2024. They are not able to absorb this total loss of everything they own, including their housing.
Ideally I would like to raise enough money to either get them an RV via "For Sale by Owner" or a good deposit on one purchased from a dealer. Due to
Eve's disability she has to sleep on a firm surface. In their old RV the full size bed was to soft, so she slept on the floor in the living area. Linda needs a very soft bed as a result of her back injuries. It would be great to find them a flat pull behind RV with either a king bed or 2 sleeping areas.
A little bit about Linda and Eve....
They got together in 1999 and have committed themselves to each other through wheel and woe for 26 years. They have two dogs they rescued after they were deemed unadoptable, Bo and Penguin. Their children have been extremely supportive during this nightmare, as has their community, but they still need a place to call their home desperately. They are both well known and well liked at work and in the community. It was a daily thing for Linda to come up to the store and stand around talking to everyone when she walked her dogs. Even if they didn't know her name, you say "the lady with the belt leash and the head lamp" and everyone would say "oh YEAH....I know her!" Eve enjoyed sitting on the floor in the living room doing diamond art and Origami. She is very much a lady of style and class. She loved her accessories and shoes.
These are two of the greatest ladies in kind and spirit and I want so badly to give them a gift of a helping hand.
Thank you.
