This year, I founded the Lincoln County U19 Rugby Club to give local high school athletes the chance to experience rugby—a sport that builds discipline, teamwork, and resilience.

Despite being brand new and operating on almost no budget, we proudly placed third at our first tournament. Our players showed incredible heart, competing against well-funded teams with limited resources.

Right now, the club is entirely funded by me—an assistant librarian with a passion for the sport but limited means. These athletes are dedicated and deserving of better support.

We urgently need:

Tackling bags and ruck pads for safe training

Van rentals to get to and from tournaments

Field space rentals for practices and home matches

Basic gear and equipment

While two tournaments are in Maine, three are in New Hampshire. My players shouldn’t have to drive themselves. Traveling together isn’t just safer—it builds the kind of team camaraderie that can’t be measured but makes all the difference.
