My students in Lincoln Heights are underprivileged youth who have faced many challenges that have impacted their lives and education. Throughout the year, they have organized small fundraising events and initiatives on campus, hoping to make their end-of-year field trip a reality—a day to celebrate together and create lasting memories.

Their dream was to visit Disneyland, but the cost may be too high for what they’ve been able to raise so far. That’s why I’m reaching out to my own network to surprise them with extra support. Every dollar raised will go directly to the school administration to fund their final field trip of the year. Depending on how much we can gather, the students will either enjoy a fun day at a local park with a picnic or, if possible, a trip to an amusement park. No matter the destination, the intention is to give them a joyful, social, and exciting experience to close out the semester.
