Lincoln has been my constant companion and source of comfort since we moved to Houston two years ago. Anyone who meets him is drawn in by his human-like personality and gentle demeanor. He’s not just a pet—he’s my family, my support system, and the one who’s helped me navigate life’s challenges in a new city. Lincoln’s presence brings light and laughter to everyone he meets, but especially to me.
In March, Lincoln was diagnosed with advanced stage 2 mast cell cancer. He underwent surgery to remove a tumor, but the cancer returned, causing another tumor in the same leg. He needs chest x-rays to see if the cancer has spread. If it hasn’t, he’ll need a more aggressive surgery to remove wider margins of tissue from his leg. This is likely his last chance for surgery, and it’s urgent—the tumor is growing quickly, and the procedure needs to happen within two weeks.
The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. I travel over an hour to a compassionate vet who has given us hope, but the costs have set me back significantly. Lincoln is only seven years old and deserves the chance to keep bringing joy to those around him. I’m asking for help to give him one more chance at a happy life, no matter how much time he has left. Your support will go directly toward his surgery, follow-up care, and giving Lincoln the best possible quality of life.
