Hi my name is David. I’m hoping to raise $20,000 to help my girlfriend, Linah beat cervical cancer. She’s at Stage 3 so it’s pretty serious. We’ve been living a perfect life together in Bali for a year. But yesterday we got this terrible news which has thrown us into crisis. Healthcare in Indonesia is a minefield. Public hospitals here offer ‘pretty good’ treatment with expenses covered by the government. But the seriousness of the diagnosis means ‘pretty good’ isn’t good enough. After speaking with doctors here and in Australia, we’ve decided that we need to pack up and move to either Singapore, Bangkok or Penang, which will offer Linah the best chance of recovery. The treatment will be radiation therapy, combined with chemotherapy, and possibly keytruda if it’s considered appropriate, and we can access it. We expect to be in either of the above cities for around 2 months. I run my own small marketing business which is going ok. But I won’t be able to work as much while I’m looking after Linah. So we’re hoping that with all the physical and emotional stress that she’s going to endure for the next few months, that we can at least remove the financial stress with your help.
