Lina is a dear friend of mine whom I’ve known for about three years. She went to Saudi Arabia in search of new work opportunities and a better future. Unfortunately, after her passport expired, she lost her job and found herself in a very difficult situation. Now, Lina is living in a place where she can only afford to rent a bed, and she owes a considerable amount for the nights she’s stayed. Without paying off this debt, she cannot leave, and she is struggling to afford even basic necessities like food.

Lina recently reached out to me for help. She is alone in a foreign country, with no money or support, and the current situation in the Middle East has made her fearful for her safety. She desperately wants to return to the USA, but she cannot do so until she renews her passport, pays fines for overstaying, and covers her overdue rent.
