Dear family and friends,

I am here asking for help for my mother Antolina or, as many of you know her, Lina or Nine.

My mother is not the kind of person to ask for help, on the contrary, she is always helping people in need. That is why I have decided to ask all those of you who know of her generosity or have been recipients of it to help her in her time of need.

She has recently gone through a below-the-knee amputation and is also dealing with other serious medical conditions. She has also had a quadruple heart bypass surgery within the past 2 years.

Due to her health conditions there is a need to make some modifications and accommodations to her home to better her quality of life and to make sure she can safely move around the house.

Due to her multiple surgeries she has been in and out of work and will homebound for the foreseable future.

As you all know, my mother is an elementary school teacher and lives and breathes for her job and the kids. She has been teaching for over 20 years and if it was up to her she would be in her classroom this instant. Her aim is to return to the classroom as soon as she can, knowing that she still has a lot to give to her community.

I have personally chosen to move my family to my mother's house in order to help my parents during these hard times. However, we still don’t know how we will make ends meet. All the expenses are starting to pile up since my mother was the major income earner in the house.

That being said, my family and I would like to make a direct appeal to your heartstrings. If there is any love in your heart and wish to see a loving mother and teacher make it through these troubling times, please help us out. We would kindly accept your assistance. Big or small, it all makes a difference.

Estoy aquí pidiendo ayuda para mi madre Antolina o, como muchos la conocen, Lina o Nine.

Mi madre no es el tipo de persona que pide ayuda, al contrario, siempre está ayudando a las personas necesitadas. Por eso he decidido pedirles a todos aquellos que conocen su generosidad o han sido destinatarios de ella que la ayuden en sus momentos de necesidad.

Recientemente ha sufrido una amputación por debajo de la rodilla y también está lidiando con otras afecciones médicas graves. También se ha sometido a una cirugía de bypass cardíaco cuádruple en los últimos 2 años.

Debido a sus condiciones de salud, es necesario realizar algunas modificaciones y adaptaciones en su hogar para mejorar su calidad de vida y asegurarse de que pueda moverse con seguridad por la casa.

Debido a sus múltiples cirugías, ha estado dentro y fuera del trabajo y estará confinada a casa en el futuro previsible.

Como todos saben, mi madre es maestra de escuela primaria y vive y respira por su trabajo y los niños. Ella ha estado enseñando por más de 20 años y si fuera por ella estaría en su salón de clases en este instante. Su objetivo es volver al aula lo antes posible, sabiendo que todavía tiene mucho que dar a su comunidad.

Personalmente, elegí trasladar a mi familia a la casa de mi madre para ayudar a mis padres durante estos tiempos difíciles. Sin embargo, todavía no sabemos cómo llegaremos a fin de mes. Todos los gastos están empezando a acumularse ya que mi madre era la principal fuente de ingresos de la casa.

Dicho esto, mi familia y yo quisiéramos hacer un llamado directo a sus corazones. Si hay algo de amor en su corazón y desea ver a una madre y maestra amorosa superar estos tiempos difíciles, por favor ayúdenos. Aceptaríamos amablemente su ayuda. Grande o pequeño, todo marca la diferencia.
