Help Lina & her Family

Salaam/Hi,

My name is Shanila. I am fundraising for my friend Lina & her family. They are currently in Gaza & urgently require basic necessities. As well as this we wish to raise enough funds to evacuate them, in'Shaa'Allah (God-willing). Below is their story.

'Hello, my name is Lina, I am a Pharmacist from Gaza. I am married to Mahmoud & we have two children, Khaled, 3 years old, Youssef, 11 months old. Myself, my children, along with extended family now reside in a tent amidst the war & destruction, in a remote area called Al-Mawasi. Mahmoud is far away from us in the West Bank, & could not return because of the war. We have not physically seen Mahmoud since the war started. We call him when we have Internet service.

Before October 7th, we were suffering from the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip for many years, & because of the siege, Mahmoud was working away. Now we are suffering greatly from this war, the likes of which we have never witnessed before. Mahmoud lost his job & we were left without a source of income. Our house, which we had built with great difficulty, & which contained our precious memories & dreams, was destroyed. We have also lost many loved ones during this time.

We have been displaced more than 3 times, & the humanitarian conditions in the tents are very difficult. Children fall ill due to malnutrition. Our mental & physical health & our lives are at great risk daily. The situation since this genocide is that the Gaza borders are unfortunately still closed & no one can leave unless you pay the largest amount of money to save your life.

We are struggling to fulfil our basic daily needs. Your kind donations will help fulfil our family's basic needs to survive in the bad conditions in which we live. Unfortunately, due to continued bombing, the cost of daily necessities such as water, food, diapers and medicine is incredibly expensive & increasing each day. Below is rough costing for our necessities as well as cost for evacuation:

~Flour: £25/$30

~Diapers are £30/$40

~Vegetables £30/$40

~Solar electricity: £1,200/$1,500

~Evacuation to Egypt costs £5,500/$7,000 per person

Your help is our hope when hope is far from us under these circumstances. Your help may save a life and bring hope to tired hearts.
