Hello, my name is Lina Mustafa Al-Khalidi. I am 20 years old, Palestinian, originally from Gaza. Before the war, I was living in Hebron with my mum, where we worked together and tried to live a simple, honest life. Most of my other family members were still in Gaza, and during the war our family home was destroyed. Since then, life has become much harder for all of us, emotionally and financially. We are doing our best to survive with the little income we still earn, but every day is a struggle.

Despite everything, I have always carried one dream in my heart: to study Business in the United Kingdom. Education has always been my way of holding on to hope and believing that my future can be different, even when life around me feels unstable.

I have a close Palestinian friend, Fatima, who has been living in Hull, England with her family for the past four years. She recently graduated, and when I spoke to her about my dream, she encouraged me not to give up. With her help, I applied to a university in Hull — and I was accepted. Receiving this offer was one of the happiest moments of my life. For the first time in years, I felt that there was still hope for me.

However, the reality quickly hit me. The tuition fee is £20,000 per year for three years, totaling £60,000, and I simply cannot afford it. My family does not have this kind of money, especially after everything we have lost. I cried and asked for help, but there is only so much people around me can do.

That is why I am here, asking with humility and honesty for your support.

This fundraiser is organised by my best friend in the UK, Fatima Ahmad Al-Khatib. She will receive the donations and pay the tuition fees directly (fully or partially) so I can accept my conditional university offer. Any remaining funds will help cover other university requirements and support my family, who are still struggling to survive.

This feels like my final hope. For years, I felt like hope had left my life, but receiving this university offer reminded me that my story is not over yet. Education would allow me to build a future, not just for myself, but one day to give back — to my family, to the Palestinian people, and to make a positive impact wherever I am.
