We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and colleague, Lina, who has graciously allowed us to share her story.

Lina, a foreign-trained medical doctor and a dedicated registered nurse in the Emergency Room, has spent her life caring for others. Anyone who knows her can attest—there’s nothing Lina wouldn’t do to help someone in need.

Recently, Lina was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery on Friday, August 1st. While the procedure was successful, her road to recovery will be long. She is expected to be out of work for several months as she heals.

Lina is a single mother to two young adult sons and is now facing the emotional and financial challenges that come with recovery, time away from work, and supporting her family.

We’re asking for your support to help ease her burden during this difficult time. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will go a long way in helping Lina focus on her recovery without the added stress of financial hardship.
